Ayse Ertay is a postgraduate research student in Biological Sciences at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载

Academic Qualifications:

2016-2017: MRes Cancer Biology, Imperial College London, UK.
2012-2016: BSc(Hons) Biomedical Science with Foundation Year, University of Hull, UK

Research interests

Previously I participated in research projects studying epigenetic changes and therapy resistance of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM).

Currently, I am interested on protein-protein interactions in the PTEN inactive breast cancer and cell signaling pathways. I aim to perform proteomics and analyse data for breast cancer which will help to discover a new targeted therapy for PTEN inactive breast cancer.

Research project(s)

Functional analysis of Sodium/glucose cotransporter 1 (SGLT1), a potential therapeutic target for PTEN-inactive breast cancer

This project aims to investigate the role of SGLT1 in the pathogenesis of PTEN-inactive breast cancer using cell biology, proteomics and biochemistry analysis.
