BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 research ranges from basic cellular and molecular biology right through to the epidemiology of service provision. We have a long-established relationship with Cancer Research UK and are home to the UK's first centre for cancer immunology.
We aim to foster high quality cancer research with an emphasis on translating theory into viable clinical applications.
Over 100 researchers, clinicians and associated staff work as coordinated teams across several disciplines. This enables us to bring discoveries into clinical practice as quickly as possible, and to ensure that the scientific hypotheses underlying cancer treatments are fully tested.

- transgenerational genetic, lifestyle and behavioural influences on growth, development and function
- how early life events influence functional capacity and resilience in later life

We investigate mechanisms and test interventions, studying molecules, cells, individuals and populations. We are especially interested in musculoskeletal, metabolic, and immune/inflammatory health.

Insights gained from our work are now underpinning novel treatments, gene therapies and stem cell research.
