The Council is the governing body of the University, and as such has ultimate responsibility for the overall planning and management of financial and physical resources, commercial and trading activities, and legal and contractual matters.

Staff and Student access to Council papers

Council has now agreed that non-confidential unrestricted Council papers should be made available electronically to staff and students of the University, following each Council meeting. Confirmed non-confidential unrestricted minutes will also be made available. To facilitate this an ‘open access’ group site ‘Council open access’ has now been set up on Sussed. This has been introduced from the November Council meeting, as Council agreed that the arrangements should not apply retrospectively.
