The University has launched an open competition to recruit Deans for the 8 new Faculties which come into being on 1 August. The advertisement?appeared in the Times Higher Education on 15 April. The closing date for applicants is 13 May.
Search Committees have been established for each of the 8 positions. The main functions of the Search Committees are:
–?to identify potential world-class external candidates for the Dean position and pass their names and any contacts made to Perrett Laver*
– to identify an external assessor (from outside the University) for each Selection Committee
–?to help with the long listing of candidates
–?to arrange an opportunity for all candidates to meet with key Faculty members in advance of their final interview
* The University has appointed Perrett Laver the recruitment consultants. They will identify candidates and manage the whole process

The timetable of the process is as follows:
Search Committees identify candidates: April /early May
Closing Date: 13 May
Long listing: 17 May
Interviews of long-listed candidates by Perrett Laver: late May
