Professor Rebecca Hoyle, Associate Vice-President Interdisciplinary Research, will host the rescheduled Interdisciplinary Research Environmental and Social Justice Sandpit on Tuesday 16 April (09:15-16:30), at Wide Lane Sports Grounds.
A sandpit is an interactive facilitated?workshop?designed to lead to the formation of new research teams and highly novel?and?risk-accepting projects to tackle big research challenges. The?sandpit will provide a creative platform for new?interdisciplinary?teams to devise a pilot project during the workshop and submit a bid for interdisciplinary pump-priming funds shortly afterwards.?These will be used to create and?grow?interdisciplinary research?communities in?targeted?areas that?will contribute to?addressing big societal?challenges.
