The Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAA) team is offering a funding call for projects, with a maximum duration of 3 months and up to ?20k, to enhance the impact of Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) IAA funds and strengthen connections within the Physical Sciences ecosystem.
The projects must align with the current IAA schemes’ aims and objectives in addition to the priority areas for this funding call:
- New business/Academic Partnerships:?Support activities that foster new partnerships and mobility, including short-term secondments and people exchanges.
- Support for Researchers: Support for postdoctoral researchers and ECRs to enable knowledge exchange and impact–related activities, and start building their networks.
Eligible Activities:
- Impact Secondments (Outwards):?Facilitate academic placements with businesses, third sector, or public sector organisations.
- Relationship Development:?Fund activities that create new relationships and engagement with partners, such as stakeholder workshops, briefings, seed funding, and showcase events to raise the profile of UoS Research.
Project Criteria:
- Projects to commence on 1 October 2025
- In addition to the EPSRC IAA guidelines, equipment, consumable and website costs are ineligible
- All applications to be submitted via Worktribe
