Don’t miss the CHEP Festival: ‘Building the Future across the Triple Helix’ 4-day event from 8 July. Register now.

Join colleagues at this year’s CHEP Festival that takes place from Tuesday 8 July.? Tickets are going fast for the in-person day on Monday 14 July but there is still time to register.

Professor Phillip Wright, Senior Vice-President (Academic) is opening the in-person event, setting the stage for an inspiring day of workshops and presentations.

“Twisting Through the Triple Helix: Lessons from Hidden in Stone” is a keynote that promises to be engaging and refreshingly honest. Dr Neil Gostling shares the story behind Hidden in Stone—a ground breaking prehistoric exhibition that brought together research, education, and community engagement.

What else is on offer?

Choose from several parallel sessions throughout the day, including roundtable discussions led by senior stakeholders as well as opportunities to network with colleagues during the breaks and over lunch.

KEE Roundtable – Embedding KEE as part of the Triple Helix

Explore what a culture of rich KEE might look like and its relationship to both research and education: Ms Diana Galpin (Director of KEE, RIS), Dr Phil Warwick (Associate Dean Enterprise, Ocean and Earth Science), Dr Gary Morris (Director, KEE Education).

Research Roundtable – Research Futures: Strategy, Development & Funding Q&A panel

Find out about the University’s evolving research strategy and priorities as we look ahead to REF2029, how the new Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) is shaping researcher development: Prof Mark Spearing (Vice President, Research and Enterprise), Dr Ying Chen (RIS), Dr Julie Reeves (CHEP).

Education Roundtable – The lived experience of assessment: social, peer, and emotional aspects of assessment

The FAH Future-Fit Assessment project is looking into key issues around assessment, including the emotions and stress related to assessment, perceptions of workload, peer interaction, and opportunities and fears around the digital: Prof Bonnie Latimer (AD Education and Student Experience, FAH), Dr John Bartrick (ACIS, FAH), Dr Amy Wallington (Assessment Consultancy, CHEP), Dr Adriana Patino, Dr Drew Crawford and Dr Daniel Hobson (FAH).
