Jessica Blakely

Jessica is currently Chief Executive of the UK’s Trade Remedies Authority, defending the UK against unfair international trading practices. Prior to that, she held a number of senior roles across the private and public sectors, with a focus on investment, trade and economic policy.

She has jobshared since 2017, leading a wide range of work including the UK’s trade negotiations with the EU on level playing field issues, and the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government’s (MHCLG) local funding and investment, including Freeports. She joined the Civil Service in 2010 to lead analytical work on better regulation and European reform.

Before joining the Civil Service, Jessica’s career featured 12 years working in Investment Banking in the property and industrials sectors, providing strategic and financial advice to CEOs and boards on mergers, acquisitions and capital raisings in London, Singapore and Sydney.

Jessica also has extensive board and committee experience, as a Non-Executive Director of PRS Operations Ltd and the Cambridge Growth Company, as well as being a member of MHCLG’s finance and risk committees, managing budgets of around ?25bn a year.
