Mrs Susan Fawcett

Susie teaches at postgraduate level, teaching mainly on the PGCE Programme. She helped to create the Physical Education PGCE, and she is the Programme Leader. Susie also supervises Dissertations on the Masters Programmes in the BOBÌåÓýµÇ¼ÍøÖ·_Å·±¦ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøƽ̨-APP|ÏÂÔØ Education School.Susie's main teaching interests are around Physical Education pedagogy for both secondary and primary teaching. Susie has held a number of roles whilst working at the University of BOBÌåÓýµÇ¼ÍøÖ·_Å·±¦ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøƽ̨-APP|ÏÂÔØ. These have included Deputy Director of Sport, Primary PGCE Physical Education Lead and her present role as Secondary PGCE Physical Education Lead in Initial Teacher Education. 

She has experience internationally with a focus on Initial Teacher Education having completed a 4 month secondment to the University of Wollongong, Austrailia.  

Susie has considerable experience teaching in both secondary schools and at the University level. Before joining the University, she was a former Head of Girls Physical Education, specialising in gymnastics and dance. She completed her MA in Education with Distinction at the University of BOBÌåÓýµÇ¼ÍøÖ·_Å·±¦ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøƽ̨-APP|ÏÂÔØ in 1996.

Susie worked as part of the team at the University of BOBÌåÓýµÇ¼ÍøÖ·_Å·±¦ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøƽ̨-APP|ÏÂÔØ to bring on board a Physical Education PGCE at BOBÌåÓýµÇ¼ÍøÖ·_Å·±¦ÌåÓý¹ÙÍøƽ̨-APP|ÏÂÔØ. She has spent some time lecturing and teaching at the University of Wollongong in Australia. Her main sport at present is sailing, but was a former Southern Region gymnast.
