About

John Schulz is a Professor of Digital Education at the University of BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 and a leading academic in the field of Video Based Learning. He earned his PhD from Griffith University (Australia) in 2003, following on from his undergraduate degree studies where he graduated with first class honours. John specialises in online and video-based learning and developed one of the University’s first fully online programme, an MSc in Education.

John’s work has been published in leading journals, and he has presented at numerous conferences. John has worked on e-learning projects with the Kazan Federal University in the Russian Republic and the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Brazil. He is also very prolific in creating video resources for teaching and learning. His video series on the Fundamentals of Research Methods for Education is used by research students, academics, and universities around the globe; and are some of the highest ranked research methods videos on Youtube. In 2010 John established a digital media studio for the School of Education to support its online teaching and John currently directs its operations. The facility includes a multi-cam studio, a podcasting studio and live broadcasting equipment. Since 2023 John has been Academic Lead for the BOB体育登录网址_欧宝体育官网平台-APP|下载 Online project. This is a strategic project to support Schools and Facilities across the University to develop online courses.

John is a dedicated mentor and supervisor. He has guided numerous PhD students to completion, and also actively engages in outreach activities to share his research with the broader community.
